James Ling

James Ling is a British professional pickleball player and the Egypt Open singles champion. He competes in singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles, and is represented by Peak Pickleball Agency.

Tennis was the first career. He reached No. 1 in Great Britain at under-18 level, played Division I college tennis in the United States, and spent nine years there between playing and coaching before returning to England.

Pickleball came next. His wife pushed him to try out for the UK Pickleball Premier League, and a fill-in slot alongside Ben Causton at Spain's Revolution Cup produced a top-five finish. He took 15 medals across European pro events in his first competitive year.

At 6-foot-4 he plays off heavy groundstrokes, a powerful forehand, and a backhand flick at the kitchen line.
