A competitive tennis player for 14 years, Mo emigrated to the United States in 2011 along with his older brother, during a period of political unrest in Libya. Upon his arrival, he found numerous opportunities for competitive tennis and academics, studying at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he became the number one singles and doubles player, ranked number 1 in Division 3 tennis.
Mo started playing pickleball recreationally in 2022, and competed in his first professional tournament in Lakeville, MN in 2023. He has competed in several PPA tournaments and continues to climb in rankings. He sits on the tennis and pickleball board at LifeTime Fitness, where he is a certified Teaching Tennis Pro. He is widely considered to be a strong leader on and off the court.
Mo holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota, School of Kinesiology. He speaks fluent English, Arabic, and Libyan, and has traveled all over the Middle East and North Africa competing in tennis. He plans to continue competing in pickleball as well.
